Katarina Cudic, a jewellery designer and jewellery artist, but also an art historian, with special interest for history of jewellery and contemporary jewellery.
After graduated on High School in 1997, she entered the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade, department of Art History. During studies, she was attending courses of drawing and painting, participating on several group exhibitions.But it was in jewellery art and design that she finally found the medium she had been searching for. So in 2000. she entered at jewellery school Le Arti Orafe in Florence (from 2000. to 2002.), where she has also attending engraving course.
After returned from Italy, Katarina started to explore history of Serbian jewelry, which resulted with her final thesis thesis in 2006, Female Jewellery in Medieval Serbia from XII to XV Century on University of Belgrade.
Katarina has been numerously published and awarded for her work, both locally and internationally. She also, participated in organization of jewellery exibitions, simultaneously exploring and writing about history of jewellery and contemporary jewellery.
Katarina is an active member of ULUPUDS (The Association of Applied Arts Artists and Designers of Serbia) and AGC (International Contemporary Jewellers’ Association).
